On April 9, 2013, an article(1) in the on-line publication Scientific American says “the environment kids live in has a greater impact than factors such as genetics, insufficient physical activity or other elements in efforts to control child obesity”(1). Where “kids live” is further described as an “obesogenic” environment(2).
